Seriously, I’m tired of these people on the web going to people’s YouTube channels, going to people’s Instagram pictures, etc. and just straight up spitting negative comments about them and about their posts.
A simple criticism is okay but to go to someones post and be like “YOU SUCK” or “GO SHOOT YOURSELF” or “YOUR SUCH A SLUT GO DIE” isn’t something that’s needed. Like people don’t get bullied enough outside of the web, and now people are getting dissed and bullied on the web, and it’s getting worse…seriously just stop…
I just got fed up tonight when I watched the “Lakers Legends: Remember Dr. Jerry Buss” posted by the NBA on YouTube and the comments for the video were nice and paying respects to the late Jerry Buss (R.I.P.) and then as I keep scrolling down on the the comments out of no where someone posts “Fuck Jerry Buss! Go Celtics!!” like…what…? Are you being serious right now? It’s one thing to be a die hard fan for your team, it’s another thing to be a straight up moron and insensitive person. You just flat disrespected someone who just passed away, just recently and to go on this video and just spit out a comment like that, you must have no life… I may not know Jerry Buss personally, but what I know of him and what I’ve heard of him through these people in the video and in the media, he sounds like a very nice man and his life was full of championships, probably one of the most successful owners in sports, not just in the NBA. I mean yes if you were a die hard Boston Celtic fan I can see how you don’t like the Lakers but think about it, he was one of the people who made the Lakers/Celtics rivalry happen. So instead of dissing him and disrespecting him like that, you should really thank him for the incredible games that happened during the Lakers/Celtics rivalries. Yes he didn’t play in any of those games but he got all these Lakers players to compete against the great Boston Celtics back then. And do you think the players who have played for the Boston Celtics would make a comment like you did? Nope, I don’t think so, I think they would have honored him. Why? Because he created the squad that the Celtics had to beat every year, which in turn, created them to elevate their game into the players that everyone recognize into the society of today. And I could go on and on and on this particular example but I won’t.
If you really don’t like a certain person, or a certain team, or whatever then why are you even following/subscribing or even clicking on the posts to begin with, just so you can add your negative, disrespectful, horrible comments to these people/teams? Opinions are one thing, but total negativity is another thing. Don’t you know that what your doing is actually an act of bullying? No? I didn’t think so. Let’s just think before we act if that’s cool and let’s keep negative comments to ourselves before we embarrass ourselves to the public.
Yes this post might seem to be just about NBA because of the long post, but it’s not. that was just an example and if there’s a problem about my example being too big well you know what that’s how big the problem is.
I know no one’s probably going to even see this but I didn’t make this post to be popular, I just wanted my voice and my thoughts to be heard on this particular topic because I’m sick and tired of seeing it. For those of you who read this, thanks for your time and you may share this post if you’d like.
And Rest in Peace Jerry Buss, thanks for the fantastic NBA memories.
